The Enterprise For Self-Reliance in Sierra-Leone (EFSL) is an organization that works to improve self-reliance among the rural communities and small businesses of Sierra Leone. EFSL was established in 1999 and provides business services, training and microfinance to help rural entrepreneurs to create, maintain and expand their businesses. EFSL works in partnership with government, communities, other organizations and international donors to promote development and economic growth in Sierra Leone.  EFSL was founded in 1999 by the Harvard Business School Alumni and the Presidential Commission for Reconstruction and Development with a focus to help Sierra Leoneans become self-reliant. Over the years, EFSL has expanded its microfinance and business development programs and has been awarded accolades for its efforts. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Sierra-Leone.
