It is one of the oldest churches in the country, founded in 1832 by an African missionary named Samuel Hartley, who came to Sierra Leone to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The church has continued to grow and expand since its early days, expanding its ministry to various parts of the nation and beyond.
