The architecture of Masjid al-Bari in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, is an impressive structure with a unique design. The mosque is built from limestone and marble in an Ottoman-style architecture and was designed and constructed during the rule of the Ottoman Caliph Abdul Aziz Ibn Saud between 1924 and 1970. It stands 831 feet tall and covers an area of about 388,500 square meters. The main prayer hall consists of four aisles, with three being on the east side and the fourth on the west side. On the east side, the central aisle is wider than the others, while on the west side, all three aisles are of equal width. The interior of the mosque includes several features, including a large mihrab and minbar, a dome, four minarets, two columns, and a magnificent prayer hall that can hold up to 10,000 people. The outer courtyard of Masjid al-Bari is quite impressive, with its courtyard, pools, marble walkways, and gardens. The building also features a mosque library, which consists of more than 30 thousand manuscripts, some of which date back to the Ottoman period. On the southwestern side of Masjid al-Bari is the Kaaba, the holiest Islamic site. It is a cube of marble and granite and has a mysterious and historic power for Muslims. On the eastern side of the mosque, there is a hill called Jabal Throne where Muslims perform a special ritual. It is one of the five ritual hills near Mecca and was once the center of activity for all Muslims during the Hajj pilgrimage. This is why, it is considered one of the most beautiful mosque in the world.
