The Fond St. Jacques Seventh-day Adventist Church was founded in 1916 in the village of Fond St. Jacques in Bury St. Edmunds County in the French-speaking area of Haiti. Originally, the Fond St. Jacques congregation was Aladio Drouillard's first family and friends. Aladio Drouillard was 31 years old at the time when he moved to the area, and he was inspired to find a group of people who shared his faith and values and could work together to spread the work of the gospel. The church was officially incorporated in 1922 and has since gone on to become a vibrant community.
