It is a part of the Church of the Nazarene, a worldwide Christian denomination that places an emphasis on evangelism, holiness, discipleship, and ministry. It was created to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of the people of the region. It is one of the best churches in Saint Lucia which you must visit.

History:

 The Church of the Nazarene was founded in 1895, in Los Angeles, California. In 1955, the general superintendent of the Church of the Nazarene lead a mission to establish a branch in the Caribbean Islands. The same year, the first Church of The Nazarene was established in St Lucia. The Church in Soufriere was officially established in 1957 as an outreach of the Church of the Nazarene located in Castries. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Saint Lucia.
