 The Church of St. Francis Xavier, Auguer was built in 1722 by Don Manuel Ricardo Auguer and his wife Doña Lorenza Aparicio. At the time of its construction, the church was dedicated to St. Francis Xavier and the Virgin of the Rosary. Over the following centuries, the church underwent several renovations and was declared a national monument in 1987. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Saint Lucia.
