The Rome Rose Garden is one of the most beautiful and tranquil gardens in the Italian capital. Located only a few steps away from the bustling Piazza Navona, the garden is filled with over 3,000 varieties of roses, as well as other flowers, trees, and shrubs. Rome Rose Garden

•The garden was founded in 1906 and covers an area of over 1000 square meters. •The roses are arranged in alphabetical order and over 500 types of fragrant roses can be found there. •The garden has a statue of Pope Gregory XVI, sculptured by a Roman-born artist, and it's the only monument dedicated to him. •In 2019, the garden was added to the list of Rome’s Historic Parks and Gardens. History:
The Rome Rose Garden has a long and interesting history. It was created in 1906 thanks to the work of the Rose Garden Committee, formed primarily by members of the local community. The main aim of the Committee was to create a public space in the middle of the bustling city, where people could come and relax. To make this dream come true the committee chose the former grounds of the college of St Agatha, which had been abandoned during the 16th century. Rome Rose Garden

Visitors should take their time to explore the garden's winding paths and discover its hidden gems. Be sure to take your camera as the sight of 3,000 roses in bloom is simply breathtaking. It's also worth visiting in early summer when the wildflowers are in bloom.
