History:
Palazzo Corrodi was built in the mid-18th century for the Corrodi family, a prominent Roman family. It was designed by renowned Roman architect Giovanni Antonio Saverio de' Rossi, who also helped design the iconic Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi in Piazza Navona. The building was constructed in the Baroque style and boasted a lavish façade and luxurious interiors. The palace has been home to several prominent figures throughout its history, including Prime Minister Francesco Crispi and writers Victor Hugo and Algernon Charles Swinburne.
