Chiesa e Santuario di San Giovanni Battista de La Salle is a religious sanctuary and church dedicated to the memory of Saint John Baptist de La Salle, the French priest and founder of the Brothers of the Christian Schools. Located in Rome, Italy, the sanctuary was built to commemorate de La Salle's 300th anniversary of his ordination in the priesthood. The sanctuary consists of a chapel, an auditorium, a prayer hall and a crypt. The crypt houses the relics of the saint, along with an altar and an inscription in Latin. A frescoed ceiling depicting scenes from the life of the saint can be found in the chapel. The auditorium provides a place for visitors to meditate as well as for Brothers of the Christian Schools to meet and reflect on de La Salle's works. The sanctuary offers a variety of retreats and programs throughout the year, focusing on faith formation and service to the Brothers schools.
