Chiesa di San Filippo Neri is a Roman Catholic church located in the city of Rome, Italy. It was built in 1594 and inaugurated in 1600 by Pope Clement VIII. It is dedicated to Saint Philip Neri and is considered a masterpiece of the baroque style. It was designed by Carlo Maderno of the leading Baroque architects of the time and is classified as a minor basilica. The interior is filled with frescoes, stucco and statues created by major Baroque artists of the 17th century. The high altar is particularly impressive; it was designed by Lorenzo Lippi in 1644 and dedicated to St. Philip Neri, featuring a life size marble statue of the saint by Andrea Bolgi. The church also boasts a richly decorated organ balcony and one of the oldest surviving organs in Rome. The church provides regular religious services as well as hosting occasional events.
