Gurudwara Shri Shaheed Ganj Sahib is dedicated to the memory of the fifth Sikh Guru, Guru Arjan Dev Ji. It is a major Sikh pilgrim destination located in Jalandhar, Punjab. The worship method of this gurdwara is based on the traditional teachings of Sikhism. Visitors to the gurdwara are expected to follow proper Sikh traditions such as wearing a keski (headscarf) while entering the premises. Inside the premises, visitors are asked to pay deep respect and honor to the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy scripture of the Sikhs, by offering prayers while seated or standing. All announcements in the gurdwara are made in Gurmukhi, the language of the Sikh scriptures. The religious service starts with the chanting of hymns from the holy scripture followed by the singing of Kirtan (religious music).
