Worship Method:

The worship method of the Gurudwara Shri Patal Puri Sahib in Kiratpur Sahib, Punjab is unique in that it follows many of the same traditions as Hindu practices. Upon entering the Gurudwara, worshippers are offered a traditional sweet called "Puri", light incense, and perform a prayer to Guru Nanak. This is followed by the singing of hymns from the Sikh scripture, the Guru Granth Sahib. As worship progresses, devotees bow their heads and offer silken cloth for the feet of the Guru Granth Sahib, followed by a parikrama, or circumambulation.
