History:

is located at a distance of about 15 km from Jalandhar. It is associated with the ninth Sikh guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur. It was here that the Guru gave up his life to death at the hands of Aurangzeb in 1675. It is said that the Guru was brought here by Aurangzeb's forces to inflict punishment and ultimately, death by beheading. The shrine was built in the year 1936 and has a high and imposing architecture. It is the place where Guru Tegh Bahadur met Mata Gujri and stayed for three days before being taken away by Aurangzeb's forces.
