History:

is around 1922 when Bhai Mansa Singh was passing through Sangrur in Punjab he Visited Shri Dukh Nivaran Sahib where a religious meeting was taking place. He was impressed by the teachings and meditations here. He decided to convey the teachings of Sri Guru Nanak Dev to the people in Sangrur. He requested the congregation to let him construct a Gurudwara in this place. The devotees gladly accepted his request and constructed the Gurudwara Shri Dukh Nivaran Sahib. Gurudwara Shri Dukh Nivaran Sahib in Sangrur, Punjab has an open-air worship hall, known as the Diwan Hall, which houses the Guru Granth Sahib, the holy book of Sikhism. The morning way of worship begins with the singing of devotional hymns from the Guru Granth Sahib. This is followed by Ardas, a prayer for inner peace and prosperity. This is followed by kirtan, the singing of inspirational hymns for an hour or so in a musical form.
