History:

1. Khyenkong Karma Kagyu is a School of Vajrayana Buddhism, originated in the 11th century by the Indian Yogi Tilopa and passed on by Naropa to his student Marpa the translator. 2. Kamtsang Kagyu, also known as the Seven Lineage of the Profound Teachings, is one of the oldest and most well-known lineages of the tantric tradition within Tibetan Buddhism. 3. In Poland, the Khyenkong pillar was founded by Lama Zopa Rinpoche in 2000 with the beginning of the Lama Shedrub Dargye Ling center in Bialystok. 4. A new monastery was established in 2004—Tashi Choling Monastery—led by Lama Yeshe Rinpoche in the Village of Mickiewicze in the south-west of Poland. 5. Further monasteries and retreat centers have been established in the ensuing years, mainly in Poland. 6. The Dalai Lama has visited Poland four times—twice to Warsaw and twice to Krakow—where he gave teachings to followers of the Khyenkong Karma Kagyu School. 7.
