Saint Luke’s Episcopal Cathedral In Panama is the oldest and largest protestant-Episcopal church in the Central American Region. It was founded in 1908 and is one of the main historic architectural and cultural landmarks in Panama. It is located in the heart of Old Town Panama, in the famous historic complex of the Panama Viejo. The cathedral has an interesting religious and architectural history. Its construction began in 1908 with plans made by English architect Whitwell Elwin. The building was completed in 1914 in a Neo-Gothic style, and is built from reinforced concrete with several sculptures made of local materials.
