, The Panamá City Panamá Temple is a temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located in Panama City, Panama. Construction on the temple began in 1999, and it was dedicated on December 20, 2008, by Thomas S. Monson. It is the second temple built in Panama and Latin America, after the Lima Peru Temple. It is one of the best churches in Panama which you must visit.

History:

The church gained a foothold in Panama after the building of the Panama Canal in 1904 and joined with churches from other U.S. countries. The region, however, was eventually abandoned in 1938. By 1968, however, a Youth Conference held in Panama City sparked renewed interest in the country and missionary work began again. By the year 2000, membership had grown to more than 20,000 members in the Panamanian Mission. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Panama.

The Panamá City Panamá Temple is a 2 story temple of 67,007 sq. ft, with a beautiful Spanish-style facade built of limestone and local wood. It has an angel soaring on the top. It has one large figural stained glass window featuring the angel Moroni and a dedication plaque on the outside. Inside the temple there are three spacious ordinance rooms; an instruction room; an adjustable baptistry for children; four sealing rooms; a celestial room; and a cafeteria.
Services:

The temple is used to perform weddings, sealings, baptisms and other temple ordinances for those of the Latter-day Saint faith. It is open to Church members who hold a temple recommend, are in good standing with the Church, and have made sufficient preparatory steps to participate in the ordinances of the temple.This beautiful church in Panama has made a lot of significance in the past.
