Brief History:

is a mosque located in the Wilayat of Ash Sharqiyah region in the Sultanate of Oman. It is believed to have been built in the late 18th century during the rule of Said bin Sultan Al Busaidi. The mosque is home to four domes and four minarets, each one pointing to one of the four cardinal directions - north, south, east and west. Architecture:

The Al Munisife West South North East Mosque of Oman is a contemporary Islamic religious architecture structure that reflects the historical and cultural aspects of Oman. It is a single minaret, multi-domed square building designed in traditional Omani style, with generous daylight and ventilation. The west, south and north corners each support a five-tier minaret and each minaret displays a row of four domes curved to represent the shape of traditional Omani sailboats. In the center, a large dome is directly above the main prayer hall which is also flanked by two smaller domes. The east entrance is a large arched door, contrasting the more modest wooden doors used on the other three sides. The exterior walls are largely unadorned, though they feature rows of white triangular motifs to symbolize Omani traditional geometric designs. The interior of the mosque is a spacious and elegant prayer hall, featuring light and airy carpets and upholstery in colors that reflect the culture of Oman. From the airport, you can hire a taxi to take you to the mosque. By Road: If you are travelling from Muscat, you can take National Highway 17 or Dhahirah. From Highway 17, take exit 105 and follow the signs for Al Munisife Mosque.
