History:

Originally built in the eleventh century, the church is believed to have been moved from Indre Reinli to its current location in the thirteenth century. Little is known about its original form but it is believed to have been built in the early Romanesque style. In 1739 the church was severely damaged by a fire and had to be rebuilt. The original design was preserved during its reconstruction and the new structure is almost identical to the original.
