Kviteseid Old Church is one of the oldest churches in Norway, located in the village of Kviteseid in Telemark County. The oldest part of the building was constructed in 1242, but elements of the building date back to the 11th century. The church is noted for its excellent Romanesque-style fresco paintings from the middle Ages, which have been partially preserved on the walls and ceiling. The church also features Medieval furnishings and artwork that have been preserved over the centuries. Today, the church still holds regular Sunday services, as well as special holiday services.
