Bergen International Church was founded in 1965. It began as a joint venture between the Assemblies of God, the United Methodist Church and the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship of Norway. It was the first of its kind, combining traditional Christian faith and contemporary worship. Since then, the church has been constantly growing and developing, adding various ministries and programs.

• The first service at Bergen International Church was held on May 21st, 1965.
