St. Martin's Catholic Church, Mabushi - Abuja Nigeria, is a vibrant and welcoming faith community. The parish House of God serves the people of Mabushi and the surrounding area with vibrant liturgies, ministries, and activities. Our mission is to welcome, serve and transform every member of our parish family and to be a light of faith to our wider community. History The parish of St. Martin's was founded in 2003 during a momentous year for the Catholic Church in Nigeria. That followed a period of several years in which Mabushi experienced a population influx and a manufacturing boom that increased the need for a vibrant local Church. In response to the call of the Holy Father, efforts were made to address the pastoral needs of the area, and St. Martin's Church was born. ever since, the parish has grown in leaps and bounds to become one of the largest and most active parishes in the Abuja Archdiocese. Facts St. Martin's is renowned for its lively and diverse liturgical celebrations, which serve to deepen the faith of the entire community. On any given Sunday or holy days the parishioners enjoy a vibrant, spirit-filled service. Additionally, the parish has numerous active ministries of its own, including the popular mid-day prayer group, a Charismatic prayer group, a Lenten/Easter drama ministry, and more. Services The parish offers many services for its members, including traditional Masses and celebrations, pastoral care and counseling, Bible studies, retreats, and much more. Additionally, the parish has a large and active youth ministry, as well as social outreach programs run in cooperation with the larger community. All parishioners are encouraged to participate in the many ministries and activities offered, as the strength of the faith community lies in the sharing of common experiences.
