Redeemed Christian Church of God (The Overcomers) is a religious organization that was begun in Nigeria in 1952 by Bishop Oyedepo. The main goal of the church is to reach out to all nations and transform people’s lives through the teaching and application of the Word of God. It is one of the branches of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), the largest Pentecostal church in Nigeria reaching over 8 million members. The key focus of The Overcomers is to propagate the gospel of Jesus Christ and provide practical Christian solutions in day-to-day life. They achieve their goals through various ministries, missionary activities, media, and technological resources. The Overcomers also provides services such as counseling, prayer meetings, worship services, and training programs. The church has spread to many countries including the United States, Canada, South Africa, United Kingdom, and other countries. Its headquarters is in Ota, Nigeria, near Lagos. It is led by the General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, who has succeeded Bishop Oyedepo. The main goals of The Overcomers are to redeem people from sin for God’s glory, create fellowship among members, and bring about radical transformation in the lives of its members. The church is open to all races, tongues, and nationalities, and is dedicated to teaching and prayer. Its core values are evangelism, church planting, teaching, worship, prayer, and compassion.
