Nigerian Pentecostal Fellowship of Churches In Nigeria: History,Facts, & Services

The Nigerian Pentecostal Fellowship of Churches (NPFC) is an international fellowship of churches and organizations that have joined together to associate and cooperate in order to advance the cause of Christ. This organization is dedicated to producing results in the spiritual, economic, educational and social lives of people around the world. NPFC has a mission to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and share the love of God with all nations. History The Nigerian Pentecostal Fellowship of Churches was founded in April of 1986 at the urging of Pastor I. A. Okeke from the Nigerian Redeemed Christian Church. The formation of the fellowship was inspired by the need for cooperation and unity among Pentecostal churches in Nigeria, and for a platform to collaborate on global evangelization efforts. At the founding conference, Pastor George Idahosa was elected as its first President. Facts • The NPFC has grown to include more than 11,000 registered churches and organizations in over 60 countries. • The headquarters are located in Lagos, Nigeria. • The organization is a member of the World Assemblies in Mission International. • The headquarters are ecumenically committed and have a Muslim-Christian dialogue. • It supports and encourages global youth mission efforts. Services The Nigerian Pentecostal Fellowship of Churches provides a range of services to members of the Fellowship, including resources and support for Church leaders, initiatives for poverty alleviation and social advancement, support for youth programs and mission efforts, as well as programs for evangelizing and strengthening the family. The Fellowship also provides training and consultation services to Churches and provides scholarships for theological studies. It is committed to the needs of persecuted and suffering believers, and uses its network to provide assistance to those in difficult situations.
