The Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Managua, Nicaragua, is an important part of the Nicaraguan Catholic Church. This impressive structure was completed in 1959 and is the symbol of the Catholic faith in the country. It was built in the midst of the turmoil of the Nicaraguan Revolution and was considered a beacon of hope for many. The building is a classical example of French architecture and features a large bell tower and dome. Inside, there are three naves and stained glass windows.
