The Bhubaneswori Temple, located in Nakabahil, Nepal, is a Hindu temple dedicated to goddess Bhubaneswari, an incarnation of the goddess Parvati. Every morning on worship, the priests perform the traditional puja ceremony, offering bhog (food offerings) to Bhubaneswari. The worshiper first lights a diya (lamp) in front of the deity, followed by offerings of flowers, incense, and tilak (a mark of honor) on the forehead. Then the worshiper chants mantras such as ‘Om Bhubaneswaraya Namaha’ and ‘Om Shrimeshaya Namaha’ in devotion to the goddess. The best way to reach Bhubaneswori Temple (Nakabahil) in Nepal is to take a bus or hired vehicle from Kathmandu to Dhulikhel. From there, take the road that goes along the valley to Banepa. There is another road from Banepa to Bhimpedi and finally from Bhimpedi to Nakabahil. The whole journey by road will take about three hours and the total distance is around 81 km.
