St Michael Anglican Church was initially built as an Anglican mission church in the burgeoning area of Sydney’s inner-city in 1883. Its original building, designed by prominent colonial architect John Sulman, was a simple wooden structure with a steeply pitched roof and a seating capacity of over 700 people. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Namibia.
