The Church of God in Southern Africa began in the late 1940s when a group of Christian leaders from the Methodist, Congregational, Presbyterian and Anglican churches joined together in South Africa and formed a movement. After several months of discussion, the group adopted the name “Church of God in Southern Africa” in 1952. The Church of God in Southern Africa has over 1 000 congregation members throughout the region. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Namibia.
