The gurudwara is dedicated to Baba Vadbhag Singh, a Sikh religious leader who lived during the time of Maharaja Karam Singh of Patiala. The gurudwara was built in 1841 to house the ashes of Baba Vadbhag Singh after his death. The gurudwara is located in village Salana, located 10 kilometers from Patiala city.
