The Worship Method of the Simhachalam Temple, Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh is based on the Vaishnav tradition. Worshipers offer prayers to the presiding deity, Lord Narasimha, in the form of a sandalwood image (utsavamurti) or stone image (moolamurti) and offer flowers, incense, and lamps as daily offerings. The temple complex is open from 4:00 am to 9:30 pm and consists of different rituals and poojas for devotees depending on their purpose of visit. Some of the main rituals observed in the Simhachalam Temple include Abhishekam, Archana, Gopoojas, Harathi, Sahasranamarchana and Yagnas.
