The worship method of Gurudwaras follows Sikhism and is based on a combination of daily and traditional services. Everyday, a special prayer is recited by the Granthi of the Gurudwara in an uninterrupted form. This is followed by Ardas, a specific prayer, from devotees followed by a recitation from the Guru Granth Sahib. The Granthi then performs the Hukamnama, a special blessing in the form of a hymn from the Sri Guru Granth Sahib. After that, ceremonial instruments such as Harmonium, Tablas and Sarangi are played while hymns or shabads from the Sri Guru Granth Sahib are sung.
