Lutheran Church Anivorano (FLM) in Madagascar is a branch of Lutheranism, an Evangelical branch of Christianity. FLM was founded in 1895 and is comprised of five congregations and one parish throughout Madagascar. They promote the values of Biblical Christianity, personal devotion and practical engagement with the world. FLM follows a confessional Lutheran understanding of the gospel and the doctrines of justification by faith and salvation through Christ alone. FLM provides theological training at the Higher Theological Institute of Fianarantsoa, where students can receive a three-year diploma. FLM involves itself in healthcare, education, and community work, often in partnership with the Malagasy government and other Lutheran denominations.
