FJKM Mahagaga Morondava is a district of the Menabe Region in Madagascar. It is made up of 12 communes and is the largest district in Menabe. It covers an area of 8124 km2 and a population of 295,394 as of 2018. The district was created in 1985. The district's main economic activities include fishing, livestock farming, agriculture, forestry, tourism and trade. It boasts the highest number of national parks in Madagascar, the most notable of which is the Anjajavy Forest and Wild Reserve. The district is in one of the poorest areas in the country and is characterized by unsustainable land use and mismanagement of resources. FJKM Mahagaga Morondava provides a range of services including education, health care, water management and sanitation, animal husbandry, infrastructure, land management, tourism and economic development. It has two hospitals, 11 health centers and nine dental centers. There are 5 primary schools, 4 secondary schools, and several vocational training centers. The district also provides access to clean water and improved sanitation for its residents.
