The current building is an example of Baroque architecture, built by the architect of King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania, Jan Jerzy Karpowicz. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful churches in Lithuania, not only due to its historical architecture, but also due to its structural elements – the two ceiling frescoes, its grand altar and its majestic interior.
