Likotsi LECSA Church In Lesotho is a Christian denomination in Lesotho which is part of the Lutheran Evangelical Church in Southern Africa (LECSA). It was established in 1934 when a Norwegian missionary, Rev. Peder Holmboe, opened a mission station in what is now the capital of Maseru. The church has since grown and is now one of the largest denominations in the country. It is an orthodox church in doctrine and practice, and the central focus of its activities is the proclamation of the Word of God and the ministry of the Sacraments. The church runs schools, orphanages and health care centers in addition to its worship services. It also actively participates in inter-faith dialogue, and cooperates with other denominations in Lesotho.
