The Church of the Resurrection, Riga is a Lutheran church, located in the Miera iela neighborhood of Riga, Latvia. It is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Latvia - the national church for Latvia.

History:
The present building of the church was constructed in 1707, however this is not the first incarnation of the church. The church was originally formed in 1316, when its parish covered the whole area of the old city of Riga. The church acted as the main church of Riga until the seventeenth century, when population growth lead to the need for more churches in the city. In 1737 the church was given a new altarpiece by the rector of the University of Riga. This altarpiece is still in place today. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Latvia.
