The Free Pentecostal Church of Kenya (FPK) is an African-initiated church which has its roots in Pentecostal Christianity. It was founded in 1987 by the late Bishop Cornelius Musa of Embu, and has grown to become one of the largest churches in Kenya, with over 500 branches around the country. The church has a very strong social justice focus and places emphasis on the holistic development of its members, helping them to meet their physical, social and spiritual needs. The FPK provides a wide range of services, from evangelization and worship to marriage counselling, care for widows and orphans, career guidance and HIV/AIDS support.
