St Colman's Anglican Cathedral is a historic cathedral located in the city of Newry, Northern Ireland. Named after the fifth century Irish Saint Colman, the cathedral was completed in 1829 and is a prominent example of the early Gothic Revival style. History:

The building of St Colman's Anglican Cathedral was begun in the early 19th century. Commissioned by the Ecclesiastical Commission, it replaced an earlier church from 1244 which had been destroyed in the late 18th century wars. The commission sought to construct a traditional Gothic cathedral using the best materials and craftsmanship. Work began in 1817 and was completed in 1829, with a south transept added shortly afterwards. St Colman's Anglican Cathedral This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Ireland.

Services:

Services are held every Sunday at 11.00am and 8.00pm, with a daily service in the side chapel at the north side at 12.30pm on weekdays and at 10.00am on Sundays. Services include Communion, Morning and Evening Prayer and Bible readings interspersed with hymns and choral music. Other occasional services are held throughout the year in the cathedral.
