Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary(Rowlagh Church) is a Roman Catholic church located in the townland of Rowlagh, Clondalkin, in Dublin, Ireland. The church was designed by architect John J. Robinson in classic Gothic Revival style and was opened in 1926. The church is considered one of the most impressive of its type in Dublin, with soaring towers and a dramatic copper roof. It is one of the best churches in Ireland which you must visit.

History:

The old church of Rowlagh was built in 1803. This church was located in Rowlagh, near the Nangor Road and in the same grounds as the current church. In 1925 the former church was demolished and the present neo-Gothic structure was built to replace it. It was officially opened and blessed by Archbishop of Dublin John Charles McQuaid on June 13th 1926 with an entrance fee of 1 shilling. This is why, it is considered one of the oldest churches in Ireland.
