Imam Husayn Shrine - Karbala In Iraq is a holy site known as the site of the martyrdom of Imam Husayn, the son-in-law of Prophet Muhammad and grandson of Najaf. Imam Husayn was martyred in the city of Karbala, Iraq, in 680 CE. He was killed in the Battle of Karbala along with most of his family. The incident was a pivotal event in the history of Islam and is still remembered and commemorated by Shiite Muslims. The shrine complex where Imam Husayn was buried has become a significant pilgrimage site for Shiites. It contains several separate structures, including a mausoleum built over the site of his grave. The shrine complex also includes a mosque, libraries, and a vast area for performing other religious ceremonies. It is one of the most famous mosque in Iraq which you must visit.

Visitors who would like to gain access to the shrine need to do so via a secure entrance which is open from 9 am until 9 pm everyday. During these times visitors can perform their prayer duties, pay their respects to the Imam Husayn, and visit the inner areas and sacred terraces.
