Overview:
omb of Saif-ud-din and Nizam-ud-din is a monument located in Delhi, India. It is a double storeyed structure, built in the late 14th century, that stands in ruins today. It is dedicated to two famous figures - Saif-ud-din and Nizam-ud-din - who were courtiers of Sultan Feroz Shah Tughlaq, the third Sultan of Delhi's Tughlaq dynasty. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
Built in the classic Tughlaq architectural style, the tomb is a remarkable specimen of Delhi's ancient architecture. It features a semi octagonal arch, one of the last of its kind. The structure is composed of alternating layers of different coloured stones set in a herringbone pattern. The tomb features a large onion-shaped dome capped by a finial at the top.
