Nearly 20 cists and cairns have been discovered at the site, of which the cists numbered 111 and 116 are the most prominent. This national monument of India portrays the history and culture of the country.
History:
The megalithic cists and cairns are composed of locally available stones and covered with granite slabs. The cists are more sophisticated than the cairns and are surrounded by boulder circle and it has stone pillars at regular intervals. The cists and cairns have a unique design which includes a circular cross-section and a chamber created in the center. You must visit one of these historical places in India on your India tour
