In Gurudwara Shri Darbar Sahib Dera Baba Nanak the form of worship is based on a combination of Sikh and Hindu traditions. Prayers are an important part of worship. The daily service begins with chanting of hymns from the Guru Granth Sahib which is then followed by a prayer. After this, a langar (common meal) is prepared and served to all visitors. On special days, religious readings and kirtan (singing of hymns) also take place.
