At Dashal Mahadev Temple, worship usually begins with aarti, prayers, and offering of flowers, fruits, incense, and other offerings. As the deity is Lord Shiva, devotees offer coconuts to Shiva Linga. Then a Puja is performed, which includes circumambulating the temple three times, offering special prayers, and the lighting of lamps or diyas, and the ringing of bells.
