Shastri Narayanswarupdasji in the presence of several dignitaries including the then Prime Minister of Guyana, Samuel Hinds. It is constructed using pink sandstone and Italian marble brought from India, and is the only traditional Hindu shrine in Guyana. The Mandir complex encompasses prayer hall, a large assembly hall, a library, a community center, a canteen, and a kitchen. The Mandir is open to visits and prayers between 9:00am and 12:00pm daily, and occasionally, it hosts several community events, including a Poetry Festival and a National Health Awareness Day.
