History:

Steno Museet was founded in 1924 by the Danish scientist, Niels Stensen (1638-1686), and was given the title of Steno Museum of Natural History Aarhus. It was the very first museum dedicated to science in the city. In 1942, it was moved to Aarhus Botanical Gardens and has since become a centre of scientific excellence. Its collections include minerals, fossils, plants, and archaeology.
