St. Andrews Church is an Anglican church located in Edinburgh, Scotland. A medieval church was first established here in the 12th century, making St. Andrews one of the oldest places of Christian worship in Scotland. The present building, which dates back to the 16th century, is a cruciform structure constructed in Gothic style. Its current building is believed to have been built in the 1540s for the first Protestant Archbishop of St. Andrews, John Hamilton. Later reconstructed and extended in 17th-century, it is one of the finest examples of Scottish Gothic architecture. The church contains many monuments, stained glass windows, a pulpit and a set of choir stalls made of oak. The main organs in the church were built in 1882 by Henry Willis and restored in the 1980s.
