Sønder Årslev Kirke is an ancient parish church in Denmark dating back to the Middle Ages. The original structure was built around 1350 and was expanded many times, most recently in 1840. The church contains some of Denmark’s oldest church furniture, including a portrait of King Christopher II, who reigned from 1320 to 1326. Today, the church has a capacity of 600 people and is a popular place for weddings and baptisms. Sunday services are held every week and the church offers special services for Christmas and Easter. The church also has an active youth group and many outreach programs, such as an annual Christmas dinner for isolated elderly people.
