Pyramid of Khufu's daughter Meresankh III at Giza In Egypt: History,Facts, & Services

Pyramid of Khufu's daughter Meresankh III at Giza is an ancient Egyptian funerary monument located in the Eastern Cemetery of Giza, near the Great Pyramid. It is the second smallest of the pyramids at Giza, and is believed to have been built around 2400 BC in honor of Meresankh III, the daughter of the pharaoh Khufu. The pyramid is located on the southwest corner of Giza's Eastern Cemetery, near the worker's village and the causeway to the Valley Temple. The pyramid is thought to have been built for Meresankh III out of mud-brick, and its base measures approximately 21 m (69 ft) long on each side. The pyramid structure is only partially preserved, but what remains shows evidence of four stairways that led to the burial chamber. The chamber itself is believed to have been granite-lined and contains an empty sarcophagus.
