Discover - Rovine ponte romano - Fact, History and Travel Information
Rovine ponte romano is an ancient Roman bridge which spans the river Beberino in the region of Tuscany, Italy. The bridge, which dates back to the 2nd century, is the only remaining evidence of a larger Roman aqueduct which ran through the area. The bridge is made up of two arches, one over the river and one over the road, and is constructed from a combination of limestone and brick. Its stability and strength has enabled it to survive for centuries, making it a popular tourist attraction. Despite its age, the bridge is still in relatively good condition, allowing visitors to walk across it and enjoy the views of the river and surrounding countryside. There are guided tours available, which provide further information about the history and significance of the bridge.
